In the 1980's Dean started his professional career in the direct sales water treatment industry. Because of his immediate success, he was promoted to the branch sales manager for Rainsoft Water Treatment Corporation. After deciding to move back to his home state of Vermont, Dean opened and operated Capitol Water, his own water treatment business which he ran successfully until an opportunity presented itself to help build a service sales department for a pre-dominantly design build mechanical contractor.
After realizing that the water treatment industry was not a long-term passion, Dean accepted the position and brought his business and sales background to the HVAC industry. Over a couple of years, Dean was able to build a substantial customer base and in the process receive top industry awards from the United Service Alliance. His success continued as he worked to help each department within the company grow including, Service, Building Automation, Design Build, Fabrication and Air Duct Cleaning, which he built from inception. Based on his success, he was promoted to the VP of Business Development.
During his position of VP, Dean was able to help New England Air Systems become the first contractor in any construction industry to ever receive the prestigious chamber of commerce business of the year award.
After nearly 10 years, Dean left to pursue his entrepreneurial spirit that he has used to help companies and their employees in different industries as a consultant and educator. By sharing the knowledge he has accumulated, he has been able to help some of these businesses enjoy their most successful years to date.
As a hobby, Dean has competed in a US Open, US Amateur and US Mid-Amateur qualifying golf tournament. His passion for the game has led him to develop a new product for the golf industry that he has successfully brought to market. He currently has a patent pending for another.
Along with being very charitable and running local fundraisers for his community, Dean has founded and runs 'Santa Night', a national fundraiser. His focus is to pass on his knowledge and help businesses and their most valuable asset, their people to become better.
